We support a project of the First United Methodist Church which makes sleeping mats for homeless people.  We donate plastic bags which they crochet into the mats.  Plastic standard size bags from grocery stores, Wal-Mart, Target, etc, are used.  They must be clean, dry, and flat. 500-700 bags are needed per mat. Cut off the handles.  For convenience, you could roll them into a tube shape to turn them in at the next meeting.  Click the button below for more directions.
